Slang

1. very informal usage in vocabulary and idiom that is characteristically more metaphorical,playful, elliptical, vivid, and ephemeral than ordinary language,

Hit the road.
 

2. (in English and some other languages) speech and writing characterized by the use of vulgar and socially taboo vocabulary and idiomatic expressions.
 

3. the jargon of a particular class, profession, etc.
 

4. the special vocabulary of thieves, vagabonds, etc.; argot.
 

5. to use slang or abusive language. –verb (used without object)

 

6. to assail with abusive language. –verb (used with object)

1750–60; origin  uncertain

Slang words are very interesting but should be used with caution, you may upset someone and not know that you did!

Each culture has their own slang. Please post as many as you can think of.

Hi !

I watched all the profile videos of teachers. I also watched the sample lesson video and I really like to learn English from Anna ( I think you are the same teacher of the sample lesson video) but I couldn't find you on the profile page.

I wonder if I can take your sample lesson.
